Off Again
I’m leaving home yet again, this time for Fontainebleau for the yearly climbing trip.
See you all in about a week or so.

writing my portfolio, trying to do 1-2000 words a day because I only have until the 16th to finish it because I’m going away.
So far I’m 9500 words in and I have plenty to go.
But since I have already hit my word count for today, the rest of the day is going to be spent lazily adding bits and pieces, or at least until kate finishes her work then we are going to the park and having a...

STAR WARS PREQUELS
I recently re-watched Star Wars I, II and III and found myself wholly dissatisfied. This feeling is not uncommon, I know. I thought that some of the story didn’t really make any sense when compared to IV, V and VI.
So here is my humble attempt at writing a basis for a Star Wars prequel saga.

THREE WISHES
Imagine you’re walking along and you suddenly happen across an unusual looking oil lamp.
Curious, you pick it up and dust it off.
Suddenly it moves in your hands. Suprised you drop it to the ground where it wobbles unsteadily and releases thick purple smoke the engulfs you. The smoke stops pouring out and seems to flow into reverse, coalescing into the shape that resembles a man. His skin,...

So I have a lot of jobs. Currently, 11. Some writing, some editing, some producing.
And while I’m obsessive-compulsive when it comes to doing every lil’ nitty-gritty detail myself, I’m now at the point where I just can’t do all this stuff on my own. I need an intern.
I can’t give a full job…

Ten Days

It’s a weird feeling to be honest. This is the longest I have spent away from home, and I’m sort of nervous to be going back. While I’ve been away I’ve sort of been on hold, if that makes sense. Everything has gone on...

23-24 March 2013
On Saturday, Tom (the Kiwi volunteer) and I travelled up to Myrbekken, the wilderness cabin Birk Husky owns, to join Trine (our boss) and her family there for the night. He took two dogs and skied up whilst I left an hour or two after him (I got distracted by a NASA themed episode of cupcake wars) on a sled with six dogs.
I had forgotten how much fun sledding could be. With no guests to worry...

Thanks, But No Thanks
Me: Hi, what's the lowdown on X? He's applied to work here next year, and my boss is wondering if he'll be a good fit.
Lecturer: he's a good kid... not as cool as you though.
Me: Thanks, but that's not really useful.
