What are you doing.: I wanna give you a copy of Thor: The Mighty Avenger
Several weeks back, I mused on Twitter that I was considering buying $100 of Thor: The Mighty Avenger to give away because I consider it to be one of the stellar examples of what superhero comics could and should be.
And then $100 of books kind of made it into my Amazon cart.

So…
I love Thor. When I was in primary school, I always loved the lessons we had on ancient history and cultures, superficial though they were. I read historical fiction with a passion and love mythology. When I first got into mythology comics were an excellent way to read stories and understand characters in a new and different light. Thor is one of my favourites. from Thunderbolt Jaxon to.. well, after Marvel kind of put their stamp on Thor, their haven’t been many other iterations, not ones available to me anyway.
I usually have to rely on libraries for keeping up with comic book events and stories; I’m a student in England, and the nearest comic book shop to me is over an hour away on the train. As a student I generally don’t have a lot of money to spend on comic books and stuff, but I love the medium and adore drawing. Chris Samnee is one of my favourite artists working, and that’s just based off the odd page I’ve seen online and his work on comicTWART.
I’m moving to Norway for eight months tomorrow (today is the second on september) and I would love to haev some classic comic book goodness to read whilst I’m in Thor’s homeland.
Also, I’m an avid climber. Help a rock-buddy out;)
